I love to write short stories based on the Bible. I'm a strong believer in the power of a story to change your life! I'm happy to share them with you, and I hope they encourage and uplift you. In my book 'As the Stars: 45 Bible Fiction Short Stories', I explore the lives of biblical men and women and find encouragement in their stories.
My novel, ' Dividing Sword' follows fictional characters and their struggles of encountering Christ. It was a huge challenge to write, but the rewards were just as great.
Like most anyone who prepares a story or a lesson from the Bible, the one preparing gets the lion's share of the benefit. We put in hours of research and meditation on the story to try to hear what's being said, just to offer you minutes of curated material.
Even the basic process of writing it down helps commit the story to memory. Something about it opening up pathways of memory in the brain.
Writing short stories based on the Bible has been a fresh and invigorating way to study scripture. I have so much fun while I learn! So much fun in fact that . . .
I want to share this with you!
I've created a short ebook called Short Stories for a Change that shows you step by step how to make your own Creative Short Story based on the Bible. Let creative writing change the way you meet and know the people within the Word.
This ebook is a free gift for all subscribers of the blog. I've even included some handy printable worksheets for you to use!
While this book only takes about fifteen minutes to read cover to cover, the provided steps and worksheets create an entire guide that you can use over and over, for any story that stirs your heart.
